2026 Workforce Summit Announces Keynote Speakers Ryan Leckey and Kimberlee Greenleaf The Chamber’s workforce development division, Skills in Scranton, has announced that Ryan Leckey and Kimberlee Greenleaf will serve as keynote speakers for the 2026 Workforce Summit, set for Thursday, March 19, at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. This year’s theme, “Bridging Talent to Opportunity,” focuses on strengthening workforce pipelines by creating direct engagement between area businesses and the next generation of talent, including high school seniors, college seniors, and established professionals seeking a career change. “We are thrilled to have two dynamic, engaging keynote speakers who truly embody what the Workforce Summit is about,” said Emily Pettinato, workforce development specialist at The Chamber. “Ryan Leckey and Kimberlee Greenleaf bring passion, credibility, and real-world perspective that will energize the room and inspire attendees to envision their future and take action toward meaningful careers.” Leckey is an Emmy Award–winning marketer, former television personality, and nationally sought-after speaker who leads Ryan Leckey Media, a full-service marketing and production agency based in Jessup. His work helps organizations across the country increase visibility through data-backed strategy and storytelling. After more than two decades in live morning television, including his role as the face of Leckey LIVE on WNEP-TV, Leckey continues to spotlight leadership, innovation, and community impact through digital platforms and broadcasting partnerships. He also founded Ryan’s Run, which raised nearly $5 million for children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services, demonstrating the power of purpose-driven leadership. Leckey holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership & Administrative Studies from Marywood University, with research focused on digital influence and modern communication behavior, experience that aligns directly with workforce engagement in today’s attention economy. Lackawanna County Upcoming 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Basketball Tournament Open to All Teams The Lackawanna County 3-on-3 basketball tournament will return to the streets of downtown Scranton July 25-26 Lackawanna County is hosting its annual 3v3 basketball tournament, with registration now open! The event is open to both youth and adult divisions and welcomes players of all skill levels. Skill Levels: Teams may register under Elite, Competitive, or Developmental categories, depending on their experience and goals. Entry Fee: $125 per teamGame Format: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games. The tournament offers an opportunity for athletes to gain experience, develop their skills, and engage in friendly competition. The Scranton Area Community Foundation, NEPA Gives Raised Over $1.3 Million for Local Nonprofits More than 8,000 donors rally in support of 257 organizations across Northeastern Pennsylvania The Scranton Area Community Foundation is proud to announce that NEPA Gives 2025 raised over $1.3 million in just 24 hours to support 257 nonprofit organizations across Northeastern Pennsylvania. The sixth annual event—held from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5 through 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6—saw more than 8,000 donors come together to uplift the critical work of nonprofits making a difference throughout the region. NEPA Gives is the largest day of giving in Northeastern Pennsylvania, coordinated by the Scranton Area Community Foundation in partnership with The Luzerne Foundation, Wayne County Community Foundation, Monroe County Community Foundation, Carbon County Community Foundation, Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers, Greater Pike Community Foundation, Posture Interactive, and dozens of generous community sponsors. “NEPA Gives is a celebration of community—and a powerful reminder of the generosity that defines our region,” said Laura Ducceschi, President and CEO of the Scranton Area Community Foundation. “We are grateful to every donor, sponsor, and nonprofit that helped make this the most successful NEPA Gives to date.” Thanks to over $250,000 in bonus funds, matching gifts, and incentive prizes, donations went even further to help participating nonprofits maximize their fundraising potential. Support came from every corner of the region, both online and in person. A festive NEPA Gives Launch Party was held on June 5 at the Foundation’s new headquarters in the Century Club of Scranton, and the celebration continued at the popular NEPA Gives Block Party on June 6, drawing hundreds of attendees to downtown Scranton for live entertainment, food trucks, and family-friendly fun. Nonprofits of all sizes and missions participated, including returning participants such as Saint Joseph’s Center, Women’s Resource Center, NEPA Youth Shelter, and the Lackawanna River Conservation Association. The event’s success was made possible through the support of generous sponsors, including The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Moses Taylor Foundation, Coterra, William G.
