Railfest to Return to Steamtown National Historic Site Steamtown National Historic Site (NHS) is pleased to announce the return of Railfest on Saturday-Sunday, June 11-12, 2022. Bio: Kim Drumgo, MBA, is the chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer for Geisinger, an integrated health services organization that serves more than 3 million residents through 45 counties in central, south-central, and northeast Pennsylvania with over 24,000 employees. In her role at Geisinger, Kim provides strategic leadership and support of DEI programs across the health system. Her current focus areas include fostering inclusive cultures, talent attraction and growth, community health equity, and supplier diversity. With over 25 years of experience, Kim is recognized as a thought leader with demonstrated experience leading change initiatives in large matrixed organizations such as Anthem, AICPA, and BCBS. In the last 15 years, Kim has established multiple inaugural DEI offices and revitalized a fortune 30 DEI program to align the accountability of DEI with its 70,000 employees strategically. As an expert in the field of diversity management, Kim has been cited or featured in Becker’s Hospital Review, Chief Healthcare Executive, Profiles in Diversity Journal, Diversity Network Journal, Diversity Manager, The Journal of Accountancy, and many other publications and conferences. Beautiful Blocks Program Open for Applications Applications are now being accepted for the second year of BeautifulBlocks in the City of Carbondale.Beautiful Blocks is a home improvement program which provides matching grants of up to $1,000 per property to groups of residents to help them make exterior improvements to their homes. After a successful inaugural cycle in Carbondale, NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania is pleased to once again partner with the City of Carbondale to offer Beautiful Blocks to residents of the Pioneer City. The Beautiful Blocks program seeks to make neighborhoods throughout Carbondale more attractive places to live. Eligible exterior improvements include everything from painting and mailboxes to larger projects like sidewalks and lamp posts. Grants will be awarded through a competitive application process. Applications will be judged on project impact, coordination, and the likelihood of neighbors continuing to work together in the future. Pre-applications are being accepted until March 21. Awards will be announced in May, with work taking place throughout the summer. Residents must match their grant awards dollar-for-dollar, unless they meet certain income guidelines. Residents whose household income is less than 80% of the area median income are only required to provide a 20% match. For example, if a resident meets these income guidelines and receive the maximum $1,000 grant award, they must personally contribute at least $200 towards their project. Otherwise, participants must match the $1,000 grant with $1,000 of their own funds. According to NeighborWorks President & CEO Jesse Ergott, “After a successful first year in Carbondale, we look forward to building on the positive impact of Beautiful Blocks to the City of Carbondale. HNB Promotes New Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager Ryan Ehrhardt Thomas E. Sheridan Jr., President and CEO of The Honesdale National Bank, has announced Ryan Ehrhardt has been promoted to Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager. In making the announcement, Sheridan stated, “We are pleased to have Ryan grow his career here at HNB.” He continued, “He has done an excellent job in support of our commercial lending team. His local knowledge and background in credit will be very valuable in his new position.” As Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager, Ehrhardt will be responsible for supporting commercial loan officers through developing and managing commercial loan relationships, which includes providing a high level of service and analysis of commercial credit opportunities. Ehrhardt began his career in the financial industry in 2019 with a Commercial Lending Internship at HNB. After graduating college, he managed Client Services at Vanguard before returning to HNB as Credit Analyst in 2021.
