SWB RailRiders Game Day Staff Job Fair

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders will hold a game day staff job fair on Saturday, February 10, in the club level at PNC Field from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. The 2024 home opener is set for April 2 and the RailRiders are seeking game day employees for the upcoming season. Prospective employees will fill out applications, and the front office staff will do interviews on the spot during the job fair.

“Game day employees are vital to our fan experience at PNC Field,” said Katie Beekman, the General Manager of the RailRiders. “Customer service is a key component during every game and event. We are looking for dedicated individuals who will take pride in working at the ballpark.”

Interviews for game day staff will begin at 10 A.M. and will run until approximately 2 P.M. The RailRiders are looking for game day employees to fill numerous roles within the organization. Game day staff includes bat boys/ girls, ball boys/ girls, premium level attendants, EMTs, grounds crew, parking attendants, video/

production assistants, ticket sales representatives, ticket takers, and ushers. The team is also looking for members

of the Pinstripe Patrol, the RailRiders on-field promotions crew, as well as fun zone employees.

Legends Hospitality, the official catering, concessions, and merchandise provider of the RailRiders, will also conduct interviews on February 10. Legends is seeking concession supervisors, stand leads, cooks, warehouse runners, dishwashers, and cashiers. In addition, Legends will hire bartenders, suite attendants, club attendants, and retail associates.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with working papers. Individuals will choose the open position that best suits their interests or needs, but may be considered for other positions based on availability. The RailRiders Pinstripe Pals Program Returns to Support Local Youth Leagues

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, in partnership with US Foods, are thrilled to announce that the Pinstripe Pals program has returned in support of area youth softball and baseball leagues. Applications are being accepted now and 10 youth leagues will be selected for the program once again this year.

League representatives are encouraged to fill out the Pinstripe Pals application form and submit a 500-word (or less) essay describing why their league should be chosen. Each of the ten leagues selected will receive a $500 sponsorship from the RailRiders to assist in league expenses, as well as a $500 gift card courtesy of US Foods, which can be used to help teams pay for concession stand products and supplies. Applications are due by March 1.

Each league selected will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-game parade at PNC Field before a RailRiders home game and the opportunity for RailRiders assistance with league fundraising. Selected leagues will have a photo of their choice placed in the GuideRail game day program on their league’s designated night. One of the teams in each league will serve as the “Field of Dreams” club on that night and take the field with the RailRiders players.

RailRider Announce Player and Pitcher Of The Month Award

News from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders: Minor League Baseball has announced the Player and Pitcher of the Month Award winners for September in each of the 11 full-season leagues in Major League Baseball’s player development system. RailRiders right-hander Will Warren was tabbed as the International League’s top pitcher for the final month of the 2023 regular season.

Warren went 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA in five appearances, including three starts, allowing just two earned runs over a league-best 28.2 innings. He led the International League in strikeouts (36) and was second in average against (.152) and WHIP (0.91). His two earned runs allowed were the fewest by a pitcher with more than 14.1 innings of work.

Warren was selected by the Yankees in the eighth round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of Southeastern Louisiana University. He made his Triple-A debut in May and went 7-4 with a 3.61 earned run average for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over 21 appearances, striking out 110 batters over 99.2 innings of work. Between the RailRiders and Somerset Patriots this season, the 24-year-old compiled a 10-4 record with a 3.35 ERA, totaling 149 strikeouts and 59 walks over 129.0 innings pitched.

Warren is the sixth player in franchise history to earn a monthly honor from Minor League Baseball, joining Brandon Duckworth (Pitcher- July 2001), Jose Pirela (Player- June 2014), Aaron Judge (Player- June 2016), Jake Cave (Player- July 2017) and Michael King (Pitcher- August 2018).

RailRiders to Host Office Night

The first 2,500 fans to enter the ballpark at 5 p.m. will receive an Oswald Peraza & Oswaldo Cabrera Dual Bobblehead Giveaway. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. against the rival Syracuse Mets. RailRiders Add to Summer Fun at PNC Field

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have updated and added to their 2023 promotional schedule as the second half of the season has now begun. A classic 90’s musical act, fireworks news and a rescheduled giveaway have been added to the updated slate.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is home all week, hosting the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at PNC Field for the first time this season. The fireworks show on Friday, July 7, is presented by Shur Save. The game on Saturday, July 8, features a commemorative poster honoring Aaron Judge’s historic 2022 season when he set a new American League record with 62 home runs. Gates open at 5 P.M. The first 2,000 fans will receive this great poster courtesy of the Times Leader Media Group.


The RailRiders have added fireworks on July 22 after the game against the Worcester Red Sox, making up for a rained-out show in June. That night also features the second bobblehead giveaway of the season; an Anthony Volpe bobblehead presented by Geisinger on Retro Video Game Night.

The Jackie Robinson RailRiders jersey giveaway, originally slated for April, has been rescheduled for August 11. The first 2,000 fans will receive a replica SWB “42” home jersey honoring the great who broke baseball’s color barrier.

PARTY PEOPLE! On August 26, we’re kickin’ the flow as TAG TEAM joins the 90s Night celebration. DC The Brain Supreme and Steve Roll’n head to PNC Field for a plush bucket hat giveaway, a game against Lehigh Valley, custom jerseys to be auctioned off and a 90s post game dance party bash.

Special Olympics Selling Tickets for RailRiders Game

Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Northeast Region is proudly selling RailRiders tickets for their home game against Buffalo on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 6:05.
