SCC Announces Spring 2026 “Be Like Blippi Tour”

Round Room Live and Moonbug Entertainment are excited to announce the launch of the Be Like Blippi Tour, a brand-new live experience coming to stages across North America beginning Spring 2026, with a stop at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple on May 31 at 2 PM.  Designed especially for children ages 2–7, this all-new show brings Blippi and his best friend Meekah to life on stage for an unforgettable, high-energy adventure filled with music, dancing, and curiosity.

The Be Like Blippi Tour will take place in the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Theatre, located on the building’s first floor, with doors opening for bar and concessions at 1:00 PM.  Tickets start at $41.65 including fees, and are required for all patrons 2-years-old and up.  A post-show photo opportunity is available for an additional fee.  Groups of 10 or more will receive a $5 discount on each ticket.  Prices are subject to change.  Tickets will be available for purchase on December 5 at 10 AM at the Fidelity Bank Box Office at the SCC in person or by calling (570) 344-1111, or via Ticketmaster.  For more information or to view a full schedule of events, visit SCCMT.org.

Scranton Cultural Center To Host Presentation of Swan Lake

Classical Arts Entertainment proudly presents “Swan Lake,” performed by the International Ballet Stars as part of the 2025–2026 North American Tour, bringing the timeless magic of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece to audiences across the United States and Canada.  The tour will perform in the Weinberg Theatre at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple on February 8 at 2:00 PM.

This spectacular full-scale production features a 50-dancer international troupe, over 200 handcrafted costumes, and all-new hand-painted sets, transforming the stage into a dreamlike landscape for an unforgettable theatrical experience.  With world-renowned ballet artists from Moldova, Spain, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, United Kingdom, Brazil, Poland, United States, Japan, Turkey, Armenia, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Principal Dancers from Ukraine, this performance embodies the spirit of international artistry and excellence. Every scene—from the poetic ‘Dance of the Little Swans’ to Odile’s dazzling 32 fouetté turns —is a celebration of classical ballet in its purest and most expressive form. The ballet is in two acts with one intermission, is family-friendly and suitable for patrons 3-years-old and up.

Scranton Cultural Center To Unveil Historic Theatre Restoration

The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple will hold a press conference to offer the media as well as invited guests to witness the unveiling of its newly restored Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Theatre. The theatre has been closed to the public for restoration, as part of a large-scale restoration process funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of General Services.  Members of the press will receive an exclusive media tour of the newly finished restoration.

The press conference will also include an important announcement regarding long-standing partners, the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple and Broadway Theatre League of NEPA, and what the future holds for both organizations.

Scranton Cultural Center Announces The Irish Tenors: A Family Christmas

The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple and Magic City Productions will present The Irish Tenors: A Family Christmas on November 30 at 7:30 PM.  Comprised of Anthony Kearns, Ronan Tynan and Declan Kelly, the performance will take place in the SCC’s Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Theatre.

The Irish Tenors have been the acknowledged Celtic music kings since they burst upon the scene during a 1998 special. With ten best-selling CD’s to their credit, they share company with the likes of The Three Tenors and Andrea Bocelli as the biggest money makers PBS has presented.  The Irish Tenors rekindled the love of all things Irish in America and opened the door for countless Irish music groups to hit the United States, but The Irish Tenors cannot be duplicated; The Irish Tenors have stood the test of time and appeal to audiences of all ages.
