Mutts & Motors Car Show happening September 13 The Mutts & Motors Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, September 13 and will benefit the animals at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. at 946 Griffin Pond Road in South Abington Township, and vehicles must be on the field by 11:00 a.m. for judging. It costs $10 to register a car or truck, and the top five vehicles will will trophies. The public can attend the event for free with the option to donate to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. ShopRite of Daleville hosts ribbon cutting for new EVgo station ShopRite of Daleville hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce to debut its new EVgo electric vehicle charging station on Tuesday, July 14. Community members joined ShopRite representatives and employees for the ceremony. The new station has four charging stalls, including one high-power charger that’s capable of charging two vehicles at the same time. ShopRite representatives say this new addition will help provide convenient, reliable access to power for electric vehicle drivers throughout the community.
PennDOT Extends Expiration Dates for Apportioned Vehicle Registrations The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the expiration date for apportioned vehicle registrations for Pennsylvania residents that were set to expire between May 31, 2021 and June 16, 2021 are extended through June 16, 2021. Apportioned registrants should mail their apportioned renewal applications to the Department for processing, or it may be completed in person at the Riverfront Office Center in Harrisburg, at 1101 S. Front Street, Harrisburg. Apportioned invoices may be paid by certified check, cashier’s check, money order or wire transfer. Certified check, cashier’s check, money orders should be made payable to: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Customers in need of apportioned registration renewals now have until on June 16, 2021 to complete the renewal process. Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling.
