Clubhouse315 hosting Boots & Brews Music Fest on September 12

Clubhouse315 in Wilkes-Barre is hosting the Boots & Brews Music Fest on Saturday, September 12. Doors will open for the event at 2:00 p.m. and the music will begin at 3:00 p.m.

The event will feature food trucks, corn hole, an indoor game room, face painting, giveaways, artisan vendors, line dancing, frozen drinks, a full bar and more.

There will also be a “Hole In One” golf simulator competition with cash prizes ranging from $500 to $10,000.

The music festival is a family-friendly event that people of all ages can attend. Everyone is encouraged to wear their best country gear. Lawn chairs are also permitted.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Kids ages 5 and under are free.

Annual 2nd Chance Festival scheduled for September 17

Outreach Center for Community Resources is promoting the annual 2nd Chance Festival, which supports housing for people coming out of the Lackawanna County Prison and raises awareness about successful community reintegration.

The festival will be on the Lackawanna County Courthouse Square, located at 200 North Washington Avenue in Scranton, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on September 17.

There will be live music, vendors, community information and raffle baskets.

La Festa Italiana taking place on Labor Day Weekend 2026

The 50th La Festa Italiana will be September 4-7 in downtown Scranton. Those who attend will be able to enjoy delicious Italian-inspired food from dozens of restaurants, as well as live entertainment.

The annual Captain James R. Minicozzi memorial 5K race will be on Saturday, September 5 at 10:00 am., followed by a car show at 1:00 p.m.

Marywood Univeristy and NEPA Philharmonic Collaborate on Concert

Marywood University’s music, theatre, and dance (MTD) department is part of a unique performance collaboration between its music faculty and the Northeast PA Philharmonic.

A concert, titled “Quartet for the End of Time by Olivier Messiaen,” will take place on Saturday, September 28, at 7 p.m. in the Marian Chapel at the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life on Marywood University’s campus.

Featured musicians include Sophie Till–violin; Christiane Vaida–cello; Ron Stabinsky–piano, and Pascal Archer–clarinet.

Everhart Museum and Lackawanna County Library System Host Free Jazz Concerts

Join us for a free summer concert series with Doug Smith’s Dixieland All-Stars!  The Everhart Museum is teaming up with the Lackawanna County Library System to bring music throughout the county, supported by Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. The series includes programs for all ages, and some for children, each with multiple dates, inviting all to enjoy the spirited sound of Dixieland Jazz and learn about its rich history.
