Onvo Brings the Madness to March with a Bracket-Style Road Trip Showdown 

Month-long mobile app promotion turns fan-favorite snacks and beverages into head-to-head matchups, driving engagement, excitement, and next-day scores for guests. 

Onvo, a convenience and travel plaza chain with 41 locations across Pennsylvania and upstate New York, is bringing tournament energy to its stores with a month-long bracket-style promotion powered by the Onvo Rewards mobile app. Designed to spark engagement and reward loyal guests, the campaign transforms the excitement of bracket season into interactive snack and beverage showdowns—culminating in free offers for winning products.

By bringing that format into our app, we’re giving guests a fun, interactive reason to engage with our brand, while creating a true slam dunk deal for the consumers.” 

Running from March 2 through March 27, the promotion features eight popular products seeded into four initial head-to-head matchups During the weeks of the promotion, two snacks or beverages will go face-to-face in bracket-style voting within the Onvo app and across social media channels. Categories range from snacks to energy drinks, candy bars, and even hot versus iced coffee. After each round of voting, the winning item will be offered free the following day through a limited-time in-app coupon, while the other item’s bracket will be busted. 

Launched in April 2025 on the Rovertown platform, the Onvo Rewards app has quickly become the centerpiece of the company’s customer engagement strategy. In its first year, the app has amplified the value of Onvo Rewards, expanded promotional flexibility, and created new opportunities for brand partners to collaborate on targeted, measurable promotions directly within the app. Recently, a vendor-funded in-app promotion for a leading snack brand resulted in a 15% increase in sales of that product across participating locations, demonstrating the power of targeted digital engagement at scale.

Follow March Madness and Win with the RailRiders

It’s nearly tournament time and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are marching on towards their 2022 season with the return of a fan-fav ticket promotion. The RailRiders are giving fans the opportunity to pair ticket packages purchased with teams from the NCAA men’s college tournament field for a chance to win.

Each new Full Season Ticket Membership purchased through March 16 will be paired with FOUR NCAA men’s tournament participants. Each Half Season Ticket Membership purchased will be paired with three teams. A Partial Plan purchase will net two teams in the tournament and any Mini-Plan will be assigned one corresponding team in the big dance. The team assignments will be done on Monday, March 14, after Selection Sunday via a random lottery pick system. Teams will be assigned on a per-seat basis rather than being limited to one per account.

If your designated team advances, you will be given the following prizes based on performance: Advance to the round of 32 to receive the FULL Legends Race Bobblehead Series (Both the Mantle & Munson Bobblehead AND the DiMaggio & Martin Bobblehead); advance to the Sweet 16 to receive a team hat with the classic SWB logo; advance to the Elite 8 to receive four tickets to Yankee Stadium (2 vouchers) and four Standing Room Only tickets to the Geisinger Champions Club level for a RailRiders game of their choice this season; advance to the Final 4 to receive a Roger Clemens autographed baseball, $25 gift certificate to theSWB Station Team Store and a game-worn RailRiders jersey.

One person will ride their team’s success all the way to the title.
