The Wright Center Names Christen Marante as Associate Vice President Christen Marante, BSN, RN, of Roaring Brook Township, has been hired as associate vice president of the Value-Based Performance Program at The Wright Center for Community Health. As a key member of the nonprofit enterprise’s Finance Department, Marante will focus on developing and maintaining excellent relations with payors, including commercial insurance carriers. This responsibility includes implementing pricing strategies and communicating payor participant requirements to The Wright Center’s clinicians and other stakeholders. Marante had previously worked at The Wright Center from 2019-21 as its Luzerne County practice manager. “We are delighted Christen will rejoin our organization and help us in an executive leadership role,” said Ron Daniels, chief financial officer of The Wright Centers for Community Health and Graduate Medical Education. “One area in which she will especially focus her attention is assisting in planning and rolling out alternative payment model strategies to strengthen our value proposition.” In 2022, Marante earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Penn State University. She is completing a master’s degree program in nurse executive leadership from Illinois-based Chamberlain University. Marante most recently worked as a nursing house supervisor for Commonwealth Health’s Moses Taylor Hospital and its Regional Hospital of Scranton. She assisted in directing day-to-day administrative and operational functions for the two hospitals’ 286-bed campus, providing guidance to more than 250 employees. In her early career, Marante devoted five years to clinical work, including a stint as a charge nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit of The Children’s Hospital at Palms West in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Since 2015, she has been president and owner/manager of Pristine Contours LLC, an aesthetic medical spa with locations in Greenacres, Florida, and the Shoppes at Montage in Moosic. The Wright Center Appoints Constantini to Associate VP The Wright Centers for Community Health and Graduate Medical Education have named Scott J. Constantini as its associate vice president of Primary Care and Recovery Services Integration. In his new role, Constantini will advocate for a preferred future in primary health care and medical education for trauma-informed, community-based primary care, behavioral health and recovery services integration initiatives, while engaging in legislative advocacy and relationship building with regional, state and national stakeholders. Constantini will also serve as The Wright Center’s internal champion for trauma-informed training for all employees and advise the organization in its journey toward trauma competency. In addition, he will promote a culture of integration within The Wright Center and represent community programs that flip the model of primary health care to the prevention of high-risk behaviors. He also will collaboratively support leadership of the Behavioral Health Service Line and interface with payors and internal stakeholders, while working directly with grants and project management as the primary subject matter expert related to behavioral health and addiction for relevant grants and projects. Constantini is a graduate of Penn State University with more than 25 years of experience in mental health, trauma, substance misuse and leadership management. He is a member of the Lackawanna County Recovery Coalition, Lackawanna County Overdose Review Team and sits on the Recovery Bank Steering Committee. Carl Hurst Named Associate Vice President at The University of Scranton Rev. Joseph Marina, S.J., president of The University of Scranton, announced Carl Hurst will serve as associate vice president for information technology and Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. “Mr. Hurst, who will also serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, possess significant knowledge of IT operations and infrastructure, as well as network and data security,” said Father Marina in an announcement to the campus community. Hurst joined the staff at the University in 2017 as the associate Chief Information Officer. During his time at Scranton, he played a leading role in the development and coordination of comprehensive technical and IT operational plans. He assisted the CIO with facilitating an IT governance strategy, researched emerging technologies and helped to evaluate and assess the University’s current technology and operations to guide future decisions. He also managed IT security, IT security audits and performed vendor security assessments, among other duties. Prior to joining the University, Hurst was the director of technical infrastructure at TMG Health. Previously, he was the manager of network and desktop infrastructure at Blue Cross NEPA and manager of Windows and desktop server systems at Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises. Hurst earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Wilkes University.
