SWB RailRiders Set 2024 Daily Promotions and Fireworks Slate

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have set their 2024 daily promotions and fireworks nights for the upcoming season. The RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, begin their home slate on April 2 against the Syracuse Mets in the first of 75 games at PNC Field this season. Each day of the week will feature promotions or offers that appeal to fans of all ages and the season-long slate is highlighted by 15 post-game fireworks shows.

Season tickets, including full, half, and partial plus the mini and flex plans, are on sale now. Single-game tickets go on sale Saturday, March 2, beginning at 11 A.M.

“Our daily promotions are key to the fan experience at PNC Field,” said RailRiders General Manager Katie Beekman. “Each promotion is designed to provide value or entertainment and we change daily to best offer something that will appeal to each type of fan. For years, RailRiders games have been NEPA’s best place for affordable fun for everyone and we look forward to building on that this season.”

Most 2024 homestands will follow the standard set in 2021 with a six-game series against each opponent, running from Tuesday through Sunday. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will host Lehigh Valley starting on July 4 in a three-game set on the back half of a home-and-home split series over the Independence Day holiday week.

Fireworks will follow the home opener on April 2. An extended fireworks extravaganza follows the Independence Day game against the IronPigs courtesy of the Pennsylvania Lottery.

King’s College will present a fireworks show after the April 19 game against Lehigh Valley. Additionally, Saturday pyrotechnic shows will follow games on June 29 and July 27.

2024 Daily Promotions

TurnUp Tuesdays – Get $5 lawn seats for every Tuesday home game this season! While at the park on Tuesdays, fans 21 and older can enjoy $2 16 oz. Coors Light cans until the middle of the eighth inning.

Waggin’ Wednesdays – Bring your four-legged best friends to each Wednesday home game this season. There is no cost to bring your pup to the park, but the RailRiders encourage a donation to their weekly animal-friendly non-profit of choice. Fans may purchase seats on the lawn or in the bleachers if they bring their dog out on Waggin’ Wednesdays.

Wednesday is also $2 Dog Night with $2 hot dogs all night long courtesy of Sahlen’s Hot Dogs.

Thirsty Thursdays – The most refreshing night of the week features $2 16 oz. Michelob Ultra bottles until the middle of the eighth inning for fans 21 and older.  $2 16 oz. Pepsi fountain drinks are also available all night long.

First Responder Fridays – The RailRiders and NEPA Crane & Hauling continue to honor our brave first responders on Friday evenings in 2024. As a small token of thanks, 100 tickets will be given away to our first responders each Friday courtesy of NEPA Crane & Hauling. Tickets are given away on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to four per week per first responder. First responders can register for complimentary tickets by completing the form under the Community tab at www.swbrailriders.com.

Friday Night Fireworks – Beginning on May 24, every Friday home game will be followed by the best pyrotechnic show in NEPA.

Saturday RailRiders games will once again feature great giveaway items all season long. Giveaways will be announced soon.

Geisinger Family FunDay – We wrap up homestands on Sundays with a Geisinger Family FunDay! Gates open at noon and kids can play catch in the outfield until 12:20 P.M. Plus… Kids can get $2 Mamita’s flavored ice or $2 Dippin’ Dots all game long. After the final out, children 12 and younger can run the bases, capping the best way to spend a day with the whole family at PNC Field.

Please note that May 6 and May 22 are STEM School Day Games with 11:05 A.M. first pitches and these are not Waggin’ Wednesday games at PNC Field. The $2 Hot Dog offer is, however, applicable.

Thursday, July 4, is excluded from inclusion in the daily promotional lineup.

The RailRiders host the Louisville Bats on Wednesday, July 31 at 1:05 P.M. and the Waggin’ Wednesday and $2 Sahlen’s Hot Dog promotions will be available.

SWB RailRiders 2024 Single-Game Tickets on Sale

Single-game tickets for the 2024 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders season go on sale Saturday, March 2, at 11 A.M. The RailRiders will celebrate the first chance to buy individual game tickets by hosting a Family FunFest at PNC Field on March 2 from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M.

The RailRiders start their 17th season as the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees on March 29 in Buffalo and play their home opener on April 2 against the Syracuse Mets. The 2024 season is slated for 150 games, including 75 at PNC Field.

Individual tickets for any game will be available online only beginning at 11 A.M. on March 2 at swbrailriders.com, including Opening Night, July 4 or any of our great promotional dates.

The Family FunFest will offer big 2024 discounts and prizes.

Beat-the-Clock
Starting at 11 A.M. on March 2, fans can once again Beat-the-Clock and save big on Opening Night tickets at the PNC Field Box Office.

Starting at 11, get Zone C tickets for Opening Night for $1.00 at the box office until 11:59:59 A.M.

From noon until 1 P.M., Opening Night Zone C tickets are just $2.00. From 1-2 P.M., those same tickets will be $3.00 each! This ticket offer is only valid in person at the box office and the ticket discount is limited to eight tickets per person. Ticketing at PNC Field is all digital.

BP & Swing for Savings!

Community Corner
The RailRiders Community Corner will be open will with a great selection of game-worn items, autographs and more. All proceeds from this special edition of the Community Corner will benefit Bake Inclusive, part of PA Inclusive; an agency that provides support services to those with intellectual disabilities and autism, including job placement and training.

Cornhole Tournament
The RailRiders will host a free, 24-team cornhole tournament on the Geisinger Plaza. Teams must pre-register and our double-elimination tournament begins at 11:30 A.M. RailRiders Add Five to Front Office Ahead of 2024 Season

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are pleased to announce five additions to the front office staff. The 2024 season begins in March and the club has added new staff members in several key departments leading up to the start of the schedule.

“We are excited to add to our front office staff as we approach the new season,” said Katie Beekman, General Manager of the RailRiders. “Each Minor League Baseball season always brings a few new faces to every organization. These individuals will all help us grow our business, expand our reach for new and existing partners and fans, and increase our focus on the ballpark experience and customer service.”

Mike Caddell is the team’s new Director of Corporate Partnerships. He graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University as a scholarship athlete with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. He was an intern for the Richmond Flying Squirrels in 2012 and spent seven seasons with the San Francisco Giants Double-A affiliate, advancing to the role of Assistant Director of Corporate Partnerships. Caddell left baseball after the 2019 season and is transitioning back into the game after spending three years working for a medical startup company in Michigan.

Cynthia Petrucci joins the RailRiders front office as the Director of Marketing. She graduated from Lackawanna College in 2015 with an Associate of Science in Business Administration and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2017. She spent nine years working at Tribal Media, a local digital media agency. Before joining the RailRiders staff, Petrucci spent two years as the Director of Marketing for Matt Burne Honda.

Forrest Rosen and PJ Profenno have been added to the staff as Account Executives in the Group Sales department.

Rosen graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Rosen, a St. Petersburg, Florida native, was also a member of the men’s lacrosse team from 2017-2019. Prior to his time with the RailRiders, Rosen worked for the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Swarm.

Profenno is currently finishing his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management at Thomas College with a minor in Coaching. While at Thomas, the Windham, Maine native was the Director of Basketball Operations for the men’s basketball team. Profenno spent the last two seasons with the Portland SeaDogs in their ticketing department.

Brian Coughlan has joined the team as an Account Executive in the Season Ticket sales department. He is originally from Massapequa Park, New York, and attended SUNY Cortland. Coughlan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Business Economics. After graduation, he served as a sales and marketing intern for the Elmira Pioneers.

SWB RailRiders Game Day Staff Job Fair

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders will hold a game day staff job fair on Saturday, February 10, in the club level at PNC Field from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. The 2024 home opener is set for April 2 and the RailRiders are seeking game day employees for the upcoming season. Prospective employees will fill out applications, and the front office staff will do interviews on the spot during the job fair.

“Game day employees are vital to our fan experience at PNC Field,” said Katie Beekman, the General Manager of the RailRiders. “Customer service is a key component during every game and event. We are looking for dedicated individuals who will take pride in working at the ballpark.”

Interviews for game day staff will begin at 10 A.M. and will run until approximately 2 P.M. The RailRiders are looking for game day employees to fill numerous roles within the organization. Game day staff includes bat boys/ girls, ball boys/ girls, premium level attendants, EMTs, grounds crew, parking attendants, video/

production assistants, ticket sales representatives, ticket takers, and ushers. The team is also looking for members

of the Pinstripe Patrol, the RailRiders on-field promotions crew, as well as fun zone employees.

Legends Hospitality, the official catering, concessions, and merchandise provider of the RailRiders, will also conduct interviews on February 10. Legends is seeking concession supervisors, stand leads, cooks, warehouse runners, dishwashers, and cashiers. In addition, Legends will hire bartenders, suite attendants, club attendants, and retail associates.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with working papers. Individuals will choose the open position that best suits their interests or needs, but may be considered for other positions based on availability.
