Valley in Motion celebrates opening of Scranton’s Newest Playground

Valley in Motion celebrated the opening of Scranton’s second community schoolyard on October 20th.

In her speech, VIM Project Manager Alyssa Kelley described the schoolyard as “more than just a playground” that was “connected physically and socially to the community around it.”

The park serves 4,100 residents who live within a 10-minute walk.

The next project will be at Willard Elementary in West Scranton.
