Sam Zavada

Sam Zavada is the IGNITE program specialist and grant writer for The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and its business development division, SLIBCO. 

In this role, Zavada assists with the daily operations of the IGNITE Program, offers hands-on support to entrepreneurs, coordinates workshops and events, and helps expand resources available to startups and small businesses. He also researches funding opportunities and prepares grant proposals.

Before joining The Chamber, Zavada built a strong communications foundation through professional experience in journalism, media relations, content development, and community storytelling at the Times Leader and the Standard-Speaker. He serves on the boards of the Luzerne County Arts & Entertainment Hall of Fame and the Street Art Society of NEPA.

Zavada received a bachelor’s degree from King’s College.
