Munley Law is pleased to announce that three of its attorneys Marion Munley, Daniel W. Munley, and Caroline Munley – were selected to the 2023 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers List. The List is an elite group of plaintiffs attorneys from around the country who are recognized because “they bring justice to individuals (or groups of them) for a physical harm they have suffered, as opposed to one that is chiefly financial.”


A champion of victims’ rights and the civil justice system for over 25 years, Marion Munley is known
for her compassionate approach to representing the catastrophically injured and her tireless
devotion to her clients and their families. Triple Board Certified by the National Board of Trial
Advocacy in Civil Trial, Civil Practice, and Truck Law, Marion has earned an AV-Preeminent
designation from Martindale-Hubbell, the industry’s highest ethical and client satisfaction rating.
A leader in the legal community, Marion is an active member of the American Association for
Justince (AAJ) and currently serves on the AAJ Board of Governors and on its Executive Committee.
She was the first woman to become Chair of the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group in 2018 and is a past chair of the AAJ’s Women Trial Lawyers Caucus. Marion is the second woman in Pennsylvania to become Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Among her other professional affiliations are the American Board of Trial Advocates, the International Society of Barristers, and the Summit Council, an exclusive group of today’s top civil justice attorneys committed to the highest levels of trial advocacy, to obtaining justice for individuals and families who have been hurt by corporate wrongdoing, and to the protection of the civil justice system. Listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2012, Marion has been named the 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for Medical Malpractice – Plaintiffs in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Last year, she was recognized as Best Lawyers® 2022 “Lawyer of the Year” for Products Liability Litigation-Plaintiffs and before that, the 2021 Personal Injury-Plaintiffs for the Allentown metro area. Marion has also been selected to the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for the last 18 years and has been consistently recognized as one of the “top 50 Women Lawyers in Pennsylvania” in Super Lawyers Magazine. A graduate of Temple University School of Law (J.D., 1986), Marion received her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton in 1983.



Daniel W. Munley is an award-winning personal injury lawyer and a champion of plaintiffs’ rights.
For decades, Dan has tirelessly fought to win millions for injured victims of tragic accidents and their families. While Dan handles a range of complex personal injury cases, he is widely regarded as a
national leader in traumatic brain injury and tractor-trailer accident litigation. Through hard work
and unrelenting commitment to his clients, he has won numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and
settlements. Just recently, Dan strategically negotiated a record-setting $26 million settlement for a
truck accident victim. A seasoned truck accident lawyer, Daniel served as Chairperson of the American Association for Justice’s Trucking Litigation Group from 2011-2012, and currently serves on the executive board for that group. In 2020, he received the Robert W. Munley Champion of Justice Award (previously the Chairman’s Award) from the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group. He has been certified by the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, and board-certified in Truck Accident Law and Civil Trial Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Daniel has been named among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania, the Trucking Trial Lawyers Top Ten, and has been listed in the The Best Lawyers in America® and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. He was selected “Lawyer of the Year: Product Liability– Plaintiffs” for the Allentown Metro Area in 2020 by The Best Lawyers in America®. That same year, he was one of only two lawyers in the region named to Lawdragon’s list of 500 Leading Plaintiffs’ Lawyers. He has earned an AV-Preeminent rating and a Platinum-Level Client Champion designation from Martindale-Hubbell. A 1990 graduate of the University of Scranton, Daniel earned his law degree from University of Tulsa in 1994.



Caroline Munley is a top-rated personal injury lawyer and a fierce guardian of victims’ rights. As
Munley Law Personal Injury Attorneys’s managing partner, Caroline has won millions of dollars for car accident, commercial truck crash, and workplace injury victims. She is widely recognized as an impassioned advocate and tenacious courtroom lawyer, and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2022. Since 2018, Caroline has been listed among the Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs and Workers’ Compensation Law- Claimants for Northeastern Pennsylvania. She was also honored to be named to the lists of Top 25 Women Trial Lawyers in PA, and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates. She was named as one of the Top 25 Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania by the Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyers Association. Caroline is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Caroline’s father, the late Robert W. Munley, instilled her commitment to fighting for justice for all
and inspired Caroline to become a lawyer. In addition to her major car and truck accident case
victories, Caroline works tirelessly to better the local communities of northeast Pennsylvania. She
serves as the chair of the Board of Trustees for the Everhart Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and is an active board member for the Women’s Resource Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She is also a frequent contributor to the Scranton Times-Tribune on issues of community safety. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lackawanna Bar Association, International Society of Barristers, American Association for Justice, and Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
A graduate of the University of Scranton (BA, 1997), Carolyn earned her law degree from the Temple
University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2003.
