Electric City Farmers Market Opens August 4th

The Electric City Farmers Market will open Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Christopher A. Doherty Park in downtown Scranton. Community members are invited to visit the pocket park every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, plants and more.

Featured vendors include Hopkins Farms, Cypress House @ St. Luke’s Church and Pierro Plant and Garden Center. Visitors can also enjoy live music from noon to 2 p.m. while supporting local growers and businesses.

The Electric City Farmers Market is a project of Scranton Tomorrow, with support from the Architectural Heritage Association.
