2026 Northeast PA Heart Walk is Underway

The American Heart Association is hosting the Northeast PA Heart Walk at PNC Field on Saturday, May 9. The local sponsor for the walk is Geisinger.

According to the American Heart Association, 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But the walk’s goal is to change this.

Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, and CPR can save lives. The goal is to have at least one person in each household ready to perform CPR.
