The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, through the Government Affairs & Advocacy committee, is dedicated to attracting, sustaining, and growing a thriving business environment in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Through proactive engagement with local, regional, state, and federal offices, The Chamber offers support and advocacy on behalf of our members. The needs of the business community are at the forefront of our efforts by helping to ensure a positive climate for business growth and development.

Serving as a Voice for the Business Community

The Government Affairs & Advocacy committee is focused on implementing programming and providing resources to our members based on the following components:

Enhanced awareness of elected officials of the public policy needs of the regional business community.
Increase member awareness of legislative advocacy to promote pro-business policies, programs, and services.
Establish regional public affairs partnerships.

Survey Results

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce government affairs and advocacy committee recently completed a survey of The Chamber’s membership. The survey asked eight questions to help the committee better understand how to advocate for the nearly 1,500 business members.
