The Albright Memorial Library Hosts Family to Family

The Albright Memorial Library, in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness nonprofit organization, will host a free presentation titled “Family to Family: Helping Loved Ones with Mental Illness” on Thursday, August 26 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

During the presentation, attendees will learn:

  • Names and definitions of common mental illnesses.
  • What people experience who struggle with a mental illness.
  • How medication can help and what side effects to expect.
  • How to provide emotional support to someone who has a mental illness.
  • Resources for emergency situations.

This presentation is taught by trained members of our community. Each attendee will receive a helpful guide packet to bring home with them. The program will be held in the Henkelman Room, 2nd Floor of the Albright Memorial Library. Elevator access is available.
