Festival Announces Theatrical Season Members News March 6, 2026 The Scranton Shakespeare Festival announced its upcoming season. Starting June 19 to August 2, the themes highlighted in this summer’s shows are faith in relationships, in religion, in personal lives, and the. power of story telling. This year the company will present two Shakespeare classics, “Much Ado About Nothing”and “Henry V.” Another straight play being presented is George Bernard Shaw’s “Saint Joan.” “Carousel,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “Alice by Heart” are the three musicals being presented by the festival.
