Stephanie Longo joined The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce as Director of Marketing and Communications in July 2015.
Ms. Longo is responsible for the management of the Chamber and its affiliates’ brands in the Greater Scranton community, including helping to generate positive media coverage for the chamber and its affiliates, helping to grow the Chamber’s online presence and helping to strategize, deploy and manage all facets of communications for the Chamber and its affiliates. She is also responsible for maintaining the Chamber’s social media presence, compiling and sending out the Chamber’s twice-weekly Eblasts and editing Momentum, the Chamber’s monthly news magazine.
Ms. Longo holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian and French from the University of Scranton, a Master of Arts degree in American History from the University of Scranton and a Master of Arts in Journalism from Regent University, as well as certifications from Cornell University and the Università di Napoli Federico II (Italy). She is also the author of “Italians of Northeastern Pennsylvania” and “Dunmore,” as well as the award-winning “Italians of Lackawanna County,” all published by Arcadia Publishing. An award-winning journalist, she previously served as the editor of the Abington Suburban and Villager newspapers and was a correspondent for Go Lackawanna and is also currently the book reviews editor for Ovunque Siamo: New Italian-American Writing.
