Lackawanna County Library’s Bookmobile Awarded Gold Star Library

The Lackawanna County Library System’s Bookmobile was recently recognized as a Gold Star library in the Pennsylvania American Library Association’s PA Forward program, which recognizes five categories of literacy. As a Gold Star library, the Bookmobile provides programs and services that can be sorted into one or more categories. This honor was largely made possible by the Bookmobile’s attendance at Lackawanna County-based events, including the Art in the Parks, Family Fun Days, and National Night Outs. The LCLS Bookmobile is the first of its kind to achieve Gold Star status in this program.
