Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton offers an opportunity for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Our internship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the radio broadcasting industry. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends. Internships are available year-round, and are 12-15 hours per week, with specific days and times agreed upon in advance. All interns must be enrolled in a college or university and receiving college credit. Students are expected to obtain and complete any forms necessary to receive credit for the internship experience. Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will assist students with the completion of such forms and provide information concerning duties and responsibilities.

Internships are available for WKRZ, WGGY, WILK, & WMQX in the following departments: Promotions, Programming, Production, Digital (Web), Sales, IT, Engineering & Business Office.

Local Sales Manager
Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is looking for a dynamic, self-motivating Sale Manager with a proven sales history.  The candidate should exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to recruit and inspire the best talents.  The successful candidate must demonstrate skills at training account executives on how to prospect, get appointments, conduct a CAN and ultimately close direct/new business.  This person must also have a strong desire to focus on nontraditional new business initiatives, including digital, non-traditional revenue and cluster partnerships.  This position requires a proactive problem solver with a record of sales accomplishments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
-Develop AE’s new business skills and train them to be the best in the market
-Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual local new business revenue goals
-Provide consistent coaching and sales strategy for sellers
-Work with DOS on weekly planner meetings
-Monitor sales activity, pacing and budgets
-Be a creative problem solver and motivator
-Lead and manage sellers on a day to day basis, provide consistent coaching and sales strategy for sellers
-Closely monitor sales activity, pacing, budgets and inventory: work with other Sales Managers to maximize revenue opportunities
-Strategize and implement plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual local revenue goals
-Cultivate new business efforts to grow spot, non-spot, digital revenue
-Implement year round recruitment procedures, train new sellers
-Distribute leads to sales staff from multiple resources
-Represent station with professionalism and integrity
-Maintain effective interdepartmental relationships

Creative Services Assistant       
Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (98.5 KRZ / FROGGY 101 / WILK NEWS RADIO / MAX 102) is looking for an outstanding Full Time Creative Services Assistant. Applicants must have 2-3 years experience in radio production including writing and voicing commercials, and must be proficient in the use of Adobe Audition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
In-house production, including voice over work, copywriting, creative concepts, and commercial production.
Coordinate with traffic and sales departments to expedite radio commercial and promo creation and continuity.

Promotions Coordinator
Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton seeks an entry-level full time, passionate Radio Promotions Coordinator with strong attention to detail, creative writing and thinking skills, and the hunger to learn the industry while being a part of the best radio team in Northeast PA.
  • Assist Promotions Director with WKRZ, WGGY, WMQX & WILK including:
    • Heavy creative copy-writing
    • Leading Station events and live broadcasts
    • Coordination of promotions part-time staff schedules.
  • Maintaining Digital Platforms including website maintenance, social media accounts, E-mail newsletters, text clubs and database listener relationships.
  • Maintain strong community presence and be willing to work beyond “traditional hours”.  Must be available to work days/evenings/weekends.
  • Ensure the station brands, vehicles, and equipment are represented well when out in public
  • Experience in Marketing, Radio Promotions, Public Relations, or related field.  Knowledge of broadcast equipment preferred.
  • Excellent creative copy-writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  This is a must!
  • Quick study with ability to work independently, self-start, multi-task, and follow direction in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.  Must be excellent at task and time management.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic individual who understands what this position will require and is excited about what they will bring to the table.
  • Very computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.  PromoSuite knowledge is preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to lift, carry, set up, and troubleshoot audio equipment, 50+ pounds. Requires a valid Driver’s license and great driving record, as well as the ability to drive large vehicles and tow a trailer.

Digital Project Manager
This is the ideal role for a high caliber marketing professional with significant success in project/campaign management and fulfillment who is looking to join a growing digital business. As a Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the creation and successful implementation of campaign activities across a wide range of platforms, including email and web. Responsibilities include optimizing marketing campaigns across multiple products and systems, processing digital sales orders, uploading creative, and monitoring programs to make sure campaigns are running properly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Account Management: Work directly with sales and digital clients to support their needs and communicate client expectations to the fulfillment and trafficking teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to track timelines and due dates for deliverables, reviews, and approval for campaign launches.
  • Understand, customize and optimize the entire campaign management process, to include new campaign requirements, development tests, production execution and quality control.
  • Verify Account Executive Paperwork:  Double check all orders have been coded correctly for various billing and fulfillment systems.  Make any necessary changes or fixes to the orders and then ready them for approval.
  • Continuity with Production:  Ensure all online ads are being worked on and deadlines are met so the client schedule can run on time.
  • Maintain working knowledge of digital inventory: Understand the current and projected sellout levels of the ETM sites.
  • Monitor Campaigns to ensure all campaigns are hitting the promised impressions goals and spots during their flights.  Adjust priority levels as appropriate.  Alert Digital DOS of any anticipated problems and be prepared with suggested solutions.
  • Campaign Reports:  At month end and/or campaign end, prepare performance reporting for digital campaigns and present results to the client with the Account Executive.
  • Client communication: Work directly with client to ensure campaign execution and performance meet their standards.
  • Minimum one year experience working with digital marketing campaigns
