Geisinger COVID-19 Hotline and Website

Geisinger establishes hotline, website for novel coronavirus inquiries

Geisinger has established a hotline and website to share important information regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), making it easier for Geisinger’s neighbors and health plan members to find answers to their questions and concerns.

Your first steps? Call your primary care doctor or our 24/7 hotline

Before visiting a convenient care clinic or emergency department, call your primary care doctor’s office or call Geisinger’s novel coronavirus hotline at 570-284-3657 if you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 and have:

  • cough,
  • fever, or
  • shortness of breath.

We can answer your questions

For general questions and information about COVID-19, you can visit geisinger.org/coronavirus. Utilizing these resources before going to a doctor’s office, walk-in clinic or emergency department can help lessen the possible spread of the virus.

The hotline is also available for clinicians to address patient care inquiries and laboratory testing questions.

“If you are experiencing symptoms you think may be related to COVID-19, you should first contact our hotline or your primary care physician and be advised on proper treatment,” said Stephanie Gryboski, Geisinger’s director of emergency management. “Geisinger has established this hotline and website for additional convenience and to help our patients and members understand what to do should they have concerns about contracting the virus.”

Despite novel coronavirus cases now reported in Pennsylvania, the risk of getting COVID-19 in the United States remains low. There are some populations, including the elderly and those with existing chronic conditions like heart disease, cancer, diabetes and respiratory disease, who present the most danger for COVID-19. Healthy individuals and children under 10 have mostly avoided impact from COVID-19.
