Everhart Museum Executive Director Resigns, Board Appoints Interim Executive Director Members News June 17, 2020 The Board of Trustees of the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science & Art announced today that Executive Director Aurore Giguet has resigned to relocate to the Pacific Northwest. Deborah Pann, current director of resources, has been appointed interim executive director. Board Chair Don Frederickson, Esq. thanked Ms. Giguet for her service and dedication: “Throughout her tenure, Ms. Giguet has provided the Everhart with exemplary leadership; her passion inspired growth and excitement at the Museum. The Museum staff and the Board will greatly miss her. I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.” Ms. Giguet has served as the executive director of the Museum since 2016. She said: “I’d like to be remembered as having a positive impact on the Museum and in turn the community, which I found to be incredibly welcoming and supportive. Working with the fantastic staff, board, donors, and volunteers we were able to bring new life to this amazing institution. The museum is now ready for a new chapter to be written.” She has accepted the executive director position at Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals in Hillsboro, Oregon. The Board of Trustees has begun the search for a new executive director. Mrs. Pann accepted the appointment to serve as interim executive director, a role she has played during previous leadership transitions. Mr. Frederickson said: “The appointment of Mrs. Pann, with her vast institutional knowledge and long-standing commitment to the Museum, will ensure stability for the Everhart as we begin the search for a new executive director.” He added, “the entire board and staff of the Museum are committed to continuing to honor our mission and legacy as we work to expand outreach in the community and our positive impact.”
