The Cuppa Cake Cafe in Green Ridge was abuzz with Chamber members recently as the host venue for the December “Meet Up For Lunch.”
Designed as a way to have small groups of members connect in a friendly atmosphere, “Meet Up for Lunch” gives Chamber members the chance to leave their offices for an hour and make connections while discovering a new restaurant, hotel or other locale.
As Eva Warner of Iron Tree Data explained, “Meet Up For Lunch” provides an additional opportunity for networking when people’s schedules might not allow evening events.
“It was a convenient time for me so that I’m not missing home time in the evening,” she said. “Sitting at a table and talking to people in a friendly atmosphere allows you to get to know them on a more personal level.”
“Our area has many talented and wonderful people working a variety of professions to make the lives of their clients and customers better,” said Kenn Anderson of Ethixa Solutions. “It was a pleasure to meet with, and speak to, other business professionals from the area.”
“The event served as a fantastic opportunity for networking as the friendly and casual environment allowed for deeper conversations to be had about each of our businesses,” said Lauren Perry of FreshySites. “I would certainly encourage anyone who is looking to make meaningful connections with other professionals in the area to keep an eye out for the next one.”
Previous events have been held at Bar Pazzo in Downtown Scranton and at the Inn at Pocono Manor. Find out when the next Meet Up for Lunch will take place by subscribing to our weekly Eblasts– email firstname.lastname@example.org to subscribe today!
