The Chamber is pleased to announce that Katie Goodman will be the breakfast keynote speaker at empower, the Northeast PA Women’s Leadership Conference, which will be held on Thursday, April 19.
Ms. Goodman is an award-winning comedian, author, speaker, actress and social activist. She has been seen on Showtime’s “The Green Room with Paul Provenza,” as well as on Current TV and TruTV. Ms. Goodman recently signed with Comedy Dynamics, North America’s largest independent record label, and her album, “Halfway Closer to Dead,” is available on iTunes. Ms. Goodman is the author of “Improvisation for the Spirit,” and co-author of “The Night Our Parents Went Out.” She is also a featured blogger for The Huffington Post and has contributed to O, The Oprah Magazine. A nationally touring keynote speaker on using the tools of improv comedy in everyday life, Ms. Goodman is the creator and headliner of “Broad Comedy,” which is currently running Off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse and she was named Time Out New York Critic’s Pick for Best Cabaret. With her husband, Soren Kisiel, she was nominated for the EPIC Award from The White House Project and was also nominated for the MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant.
