Aerial photography is a unique type of photography – usually done from an aircraft or helicopter and most recently from drones.

The typical way to capture an aerial photograph was a video camera mounted on a helicopter. However, this type of service and photography came with a high price and was cost prohibitive for most applicants. Drones can now provide the very same video quality at a mere fraction of that cost.

There are many benefits to photographs or video from an aerial view and it is not just for small or large businesses.

  • Weekly or monthly documenting of construction progress
  • Natural gas industry
  • Commercial real estate and its surrounding
  • Hotels and resorts
  • Roads and highways
  • Private property
  • Large estates
  • Farms
  • Schools
  • Factories
  • Marketing, branding, advertising

Aerial photography is also helpful when choosing an ideal business location, as you can see potential traffic in a given area, easy on/off highway access and details of the surrounding area that you may not be able to see otherwise.

The most important thing to keep in mind when considering an aerial photographer is a solid history of reliability and experience. A reputable photographer will have a website with samples of their work as well as client testimonials. A proven track record over the course of many years speaks volumes as to what one can expect when choosing a professional photographer and testimonials from real clients is an excellent place to start.
