Located in northeastern Pennsylvania and serving the best interests of Lackawanna County and its citizens, Leadership Lackawanna is a non-profit organization dedicated to community leadership and professional development. It was established in 1982 and offers three different programs – teen leadership, core leadership and executive leadership.

Twenty-nine people recently graduated from the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program and joined an elite group of more than 2,000 alumni.  The 10-month Core Program provides participants with leadership, interpersonal and managerial skills, as well as an enhanced understanding of the issues and topics relevant to the Greater Scranton region through monthly sessions.  In addition to the sessions, members participate in group projects to enhance their leadership skills and foster teamwork.

Does your business need volunteers, board members or committee members?  If so, Leadership Lackawanna would be happy to reach out to this year’s Core Program graduates and see if any of them would be willing to use their newfound skills to help your organization.

Email Nicole Morristell, director, Leadership Lackawanna, at nmorristell@scrantonchamber.com with your business’s volunteer needs no later than Thursday, July 13. For more information about Leadership Lackawanna, visit www.leadershiplackawanna.com.
