The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, the region’s largest business organization, has announced the following staff changes:

  • Lyndsay Grady will expand her responsibilities as the newly constituted Director of Workforce Development. In this role, Ms. Grady will assume management of the newly revamped Skills in Scranton program, which will be integrated into the Chamber’s economic development efforts.
  • Bill Schoen will assume the role of Government Affairs Consultant. In this role, Mr. Schoen will assist in the formulation of policy positions for the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and the Chamber’s board of directors.

“As has become evident over the past few years, the strength and supply of a quality workforce has become an increasingly more important component of economic development,” said Chamber President Bob Durkin. “Current challenges for chambers of commerce also demand that we increase our role as a voice for our members in federal, state and local affairs. I am confident that both Lyndsay and Bill will bring the expertise needed to help our Chamber continue to advance in its mission of attracting, sustaining and growing business in our region and beyond.
